It was discovered that illegal alcohol sales were being organized in a semi-basement café located on Dybenko Street in the Nevsky district of St. Petersburg. This incident attracted the attention of law enforcement agencies and a raid was carried out on the café.
During the inspection, it was found that the establishment was operating without the required license. Police officers discovered counterfeit alcoholic beverages in the café, which were poured into empty bottles of famous brands and presented as expensive whiskey, gin, and cognac.
In addition, multiple violations of migration legislation were recorded at the café. Among the violators were not only customers but also café employees, including the 39-year-old Uzbek owner of the café.
It became known that he had previously been convicted as well. During the inspection, the café owner tried to evade responsibility and offered a bribe to one of the police officers.
He attempted to secretly place 100,000 rubles in the pocket of a police uniform. However, his attempt was unsuccessful—the entrepreneur was immediately detained, and the money was seized as evidence.
The counterfeit alcoholic beverages were sent for examination. Russian investigative authorities initiated a criminal case regarding the attempt to offer a bribe and other violations.
Foreign citizens who were present in the café without proper registration were held administratively liable in accordance with migration legislation. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
