The most common cat nicknames are named

The capital's veterinary clinics have compiled a rating of the rarest and most ridiculous nicknames that Muscovites give their pets.

"In October 2025, cats named Stepashka, Persey, Napoleon, Pascal, Bambulya, Vasilek, and Vitalik visited state hospitals in the capital," TASS writes, citing the city veterinary committee.

The rating also includes domestic animals with exotic nicknames: Delorian, Zimbabwean, Lakshmi, and Obsidian. Among the funny variants, Puzirik, Pufik, and Uslada stood out.

Dog owners who chose the nicknames Bitcoin, Maybach, Bounty, and Zeus for their pets also stood out for their creativity. The list of unusual names included Tango, Tigrana, and Sumrak.
