A tragic incident occurred during a funeral in the Gudermes district of Chechnya - 20 people received various injuries as a result of the collapse of a wooden balcony of a private house. This was reported by the Report agency, citing Russian media sources.
According to witnesses, local residents climbed onto the balcony of the house to observe the funeral from a height. However, the balcony collapsed under the weight of many people.
After the incident, medical workers transported the injured to the hospital in ambulances. According to reports, some of them received minor injuries, while others sustained moderate injuries.
Currently, the exact causes of the incident are being investigated, and specialists are conducting an inspection of the technical condition of the balcony and the quality of construction.
