Britain may cancel visas to three countries - what's the reason?

The United Kingdom may stop issuing visas to citizens of three African countries - Angola, Namibia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The Times reported this, citing sources within the British Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The reason is that these countries refused to re-accept nearly 4,000 of their citizens who entered the UK illegally. Official London is dissatisfied with the lack of cooperation in their deportation process.

According to the newspaper, on November 13, the British Ministry of Internal Affairs warned the embassies of these countries in London - visa restrictions will be introduced if more active cooperation on deportation issues does not begin within a month.

Initially, these measures may begin in the form of canceling the possibility of obtaining an expedited visa for diplomatic personnel and privileged persons. From now on, they will have to apply in the usual manner and wait in line.

At the next stage, a complete visa ban on citizens of the listed countries is also possible. This measure is reminiscent of the Trump administration's visa policy, the publication writes.

According to sources, this process may not be limited to African countries. Over time, India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Somalia, and Gabon, which do not want to return their citizens, may also be added to the "blacklist."
