Russian troops, on the night of Monday, November 24, massively shelled Kharkiv, Ukraine's second largest city, with an innumerable amount of unmanned aerial vehicles. According to the head of the regional military administration, Oleg Sinegubov, in Telegram, the settlement where citizens live was attacked with "Geran-2" type drones, and according to preliminary calculations, a total of 16 explosions were recorded.
Tragedy: Victims and injured children
The strikes were mainly directed at residential buildings in the Shevchenko and Saltovka districts of Kharkiv. Three civilians died in the tragedy: women aged 61 and 41, and a 55-year-old man. The saddest thing is that among the injured there are also two innocent children: a 12-year-old boy was wounded by glass shrapnel, and an 11-year-old girl fell into a state of severe psychological shock (stress).
A while later, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov announced that rescuers found the body of one more deceased citizen under the collapsed remains of one of the private houses. Consequently, four peaceful Kharkiv residents became victims during the Sunday night.
Destruction and search operations
Terekhov added that currently the number of injured has reached 17 people. According to Sinegubov, because the destruction was large, the main focus now is on ensuring that no people remain under the rubble. He also published photos showing the consequences of the attack.
