A 'dead' woman in Thailand has everyone excited after coming back to life in a coffin

A highly unusual incident in Thailand has caused a major stir in the country’s media — a 65-year-old woman, believed to be “dead,” was found alive inside a coffin prepared for cremation.

According to reports, temple staff in Nonthaburi Province heard a faint knocking sound from inside the coffin and immediately opened it. It is reported that the woman’s eyes were slightly open and she had been knocking on the lid.

Her brother stated that she had been bedridden for two years, her condition had worsened, and a few days earlier she appeared to not be breathing. Because of this, she was placed in a coffin and taken to a Bangkok hospital for organ donation, but the hospital refused due to the absence of an official death certificate.

After that, he turned to the temple, but cremation was not performed there either due to a lack of documents.

While temple staff were explaining to the man the procedure for obtaining a death certificate, knocking was again heard from inside the coffin, and the woman was urgently taken to the hospital. Doctors diagnosed her with severe hypoglycemia — a sharp drop in blood sugar — and confirmed that her heart and breathing functions had actually not stopped.

It is noted that the temple administration has covered the woman’s medical expenses.
