Andriy Yermak resigned from the post of Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine amid a corruption scandal. He announced this on his Telegram channel.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he had granted Yermak's resignation: "I want there to be no rumors and speculation. As for the issue of the new head of the agency, tomorrow I will consult with those who can lead this institution."
Yermak's resignation occurred against the backdrop of a corruption scandal. On November 10, Ukrainian anti-corruption authorities reported a major illegal scheme in the country's energy sector. The criminals demanded the return of 10-15 percent of the contract amount from "Energoatom" counterparties, threatening to block payments and lose the status of a supplier.
On November 28, searches were carried out at Yermak's house as part of a corruption case.
