According to preliminary information from the police, the fire may have been caused by the explosion of a gas cylinder. After the explosion, the fire quickly spread throughout the building and prevented the evacuation of staff and guests.
Rescue services immediately arrived at the scene and carried out work to extinguish the fire and evacuate people from the building. Most of the bodies were found in the club kitchen - this suggests that most of the deceased were club employees.
Two bodies were also found on the stairs. Officials stated that they have launched a full investigation into the cause of the fire.
