Germany accuses Russia of cyberattack

The German government accused Russia of a cyberattack on the country’s air traffic control in 2024. Berlin summoned the Russian ambassador and issued an official protest. According to German officials, the attack was carried out by hackers linked to Russian intelligence.
According to official information, the attack occurred in August 2024 and posed a threat to the system’s operation. The government considers this incident a serious attempt against the country’s security.
Berlin also accused Russia of trying to interfere in the federal elections held in February. Officials say there were attempts to influence the election process through fake videos and false information.
Germany stated that it will now take response measures against Russia’s actions together with European countries. The Russian side has not yet commented on these accusations.
