On December 23, 2025, Swedish activist Greta Thunberg was arrested by British police at a protest in London. According to reports, Thunberg held a sign supporting prisoners linked to “Palestine Action.”
A police spokesperson said the 22-year-old woman was arrested for displaying a sign in support of a banned organization. In addition, two people were arrested for throwing red paint on a building during the protest.
Defend Our Juries said the protest targeted a building used by an insurance company. According to them, the company provides services to the Israeli defense firm Elbit Systems in the UK.
The arrest took place within the law and protest activities. The incident drew wide attention in London and sparked discussions about Thunberg’s activism.
