The Chinese government expressed hope that solutions complying with laws and considering the interests of all parties will be reached regarding TikTok’s operations in the U.S. This was stated by a spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Commerce.
It is reported that TikTok’s owner, ByteDance, signed an agreement to transfer U.S. operations to a group of investors. This step aims to reduce the risk of a U.S. ban and resolve years of uncertainty.
China called on the U.S. to cooperate in this process. Officials emphasized that the U.S. should provide a fair, open, and equal environment for Chinese companies.
According to Beijing officials, resolving the issue through dialogue and agreement is the best approach. The Chinese government hopes the TikTok situation will be settled in a stable and lawful manner.
