According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, two more Patriot air defense systems from Germany have joined the protection of cities in the country. This delivery was carried out based on agreements with the German government.
The Patriot system is developed in the USA and is considered one of the most advanced air defense systems in the world. It is designed to destroy aircraft and cruise missiles and can hit fast-moving and complex targets.
The system provides multi-layered protection for strategic sites and major cities. It can destroy aerial targets at altitudes of up to 24 km and distances of up to 160 km, and it protects large areas.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the Patriot systems currently protect Ukrainian cities and key infrastructure from enemy attacks. These systems play an important role in reducing damage from cruise missile strikes.
