Armed attack on international airport in Niamey

An armed attack was carried out on the international airport located in the capital of Niger - the city of Niamey. This was reported by the BBC news service.
Reportedly, the incident occurred on the night of January 29.
According to reports, General Abdurrahman Tchiani, the head of the military junta in power in Niger, expressed gratitude to the Russian side for the military assistance provided in the process of repelling the attack.
At the same time, the general, without providing any evidence, accused France, Benin, and Côte d'Ivoire of being the "sponsors" of this attack.
At the same time, experts note the growing activity of radical groups in the country. The group associated with ISIS claimed responsibility for this attack.
