US President calls regime change in Iran the best event

US President Donald Trump has described the possibility of a clerical regime change in Iran as “the best thing that could happen,” openly expressing his positive attitude to the idea of a regime change in Tehran. He reportedly made the remarks while answering questions from reporters at Fort Bragg.
According to Trump, “47 years” have been all talk, and “a lot of people have been lost” during that time. He did not name the person who should take over Iran’s leadership, but indicated that “there are people” who could take the position.
Meanwhile, Washington is reportedly sending a second aircraft carrier to the Middle East to increase pressure on Tehran. The USS Gerald R. Ford, one of the most modern US warships, is said to be arriving in the region "very shortly."
The main point in the White House's position is the nuclear deal. It is noted that the US is demanding that Iran stop enriching uranium. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stressed that any agreement should not be limited to stopping enrichment, but should also be strict enough to "destroy" the nuclear infrastructure; Tehran's ballistic missile program and reducing support for groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah are also on the agenda.
Iran, on the other hand, has expressed its readiness to limit its nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief, but has warned against giving in to "excessive demands."
In short, the situation resembles a two-way pressure: on the one hand, a signal that "if there is no agreement, there is also a military option," and on the other, a call to "continue negotiations."
The most interesting thing is that in this game, each statement serves both diplomacy and a show of force. In politics, it's like this: with one word, you can both invite to the table and show your readiness to kick the table away.
