The list of losses in the Iranian elite has raised new questions

Iran's opposition media outlets published a list of high-ranking military personnel and leaders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, who are said to have been killed following joint attacks by Israel and the United States. This list has further exacerbated tensions in the Middle East, as it concerns individuals at the highest levels of the country's military and security systems.

The distributed list mentions names such as Abdulrahim Musavi, Muhammad Pakpur, Ahmad Vahidi, Majid Musavi, Amir Hotami, Aziz Nasirzoda, and Ali Shamhani. According to the opposition press, confirmations have been issued at the level of international news agencies for some of them, while official or independent confirmations for others may be clarified in the coming hours.

So far, one of the most confirmed information - Reuters sources reported that the commander of the Armed Forces of Iran Muhammad Pakpur and Iranian Defense Minister Aziz Nasserzoda may have been killed as a result of Israeli strikes. These two names are most frequently mentioned in the latest information flow.

At the same time, the name of Ali Shamhani is mentioned among the deceased in various sources. However, there is an important nuance here: Reuters wrote on February 25, in a material released before the latest attacks, that Shamhani survived a blow in 2025. Consequently, there are new claims regarding his current fate, but even in this matter, the need for the latest and decisive confirmations remains.

For the remaining names - including Abdulrahim Musavi, Ahmad Vahidi, Majid Musavi, and Amir Hatami - claims have intensified in the information space, but it is too early to say that they are all equally reliable and independently confirmed. Therefore, such lists should be treated with caution: some information is urgent, while others are still being verified.

In short, this list shows that Iran's military-political elite is under great pressure. But in the current situation, the most correct approach is not to confuse proven facts with information that is still at the level of a claim. One thing is clear: if more of these names are officially confirmed, it will be a huge blow to Iranian governance and the balance of power in the region.
