Beijing and Tehran rapprochement raises concerns

US intelligence services suspect that Chinese officials are planning to provide financial support to Iran and supply necessary spare parts for missiles. CNN, citing its sources, reports that Beijing is acting very cautiously on this matter. Experts believe that China is interested in ending the war in the region, as instability poses a serious threat to the country's energy supply.

On the other hand, "The Washington Post" emphasizes that China is not yet providing direct military aid to Iran. Nevertheless, negotiations between the parties are ongoing. In particular, according to "Reuters", China is trying to reach an agreement with Tehran to ensure the safe passage of its oil tankers and liquefied gas carriers through the Strait of Hormuz. Beijing conducts about 45 percent of its oil imports through this very route.

The situation is further complicated by earlier reports that Russia had shared secret information with Iran about US military facilities in the Middle East, including aircraft and ships. So far, the exact scale of Russia's assistance and its consequences are not fully clear. The international community is closely watching how the rapprochement between these three countries will alter the balance of power in the region.
