The US Central Command reported a serious incident involving two KC-135 tankers designed to refuel in the air.
According to reports, one of the planes was shot down in the sky over Iraq. Although the second plane was damaged in the attack, it still managed to reach Israeli territory and land safely.
According to reports, there were six servicemen on board the shot down aircraft. Official information about their fate has not yet been released.
So far, the remains of this aircraft, valued at approximately $65-70 million, have not been found. This further increases the number of questions surrounding the incident.
Experts and analysts suggest that armed groups operating in Iraq, considered close to Iran, may be behind the attack. However, this version has not yet been officially confirmed.
At the same time, some observers do not rule out the possibility that this event could be another "Kuwait-2" scenario. That is, since the details of the incident have not yet been fully disclosed, the true causes of the incident and who was behind it remain unknown.
