Trump shares thoughts on Nobel Prize and conflicts

US President Donald Trump answered questions about whether a potential conflict with Iran could affect his chances of winning the Nobel Peace Prize. In an interview with the Washington Examiner, Trump declined the offer, stating that he was not interested in such a connection. When asked whether the topic of the Nobel Prize was raised in conversations with foreign leaders after the recent tensions in the Middle East, he clarified that he was not paying attention to the prize.

Trump had previously launched an active campaign to win the Nobel Peace Prize in 2025. After failing to achieve this honor, he emphasized that he was no longer obligated to prioritize peacekeeping efforts. The 2025 Nobel Peace Prize was ultimately awarded to Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado, who later presented her medal to the US president as a token of recognition.
