Donald Trump formed a council on artificial intelligence and technology

US President Donald Trump has appointed the largest corporate executives to the Scientific and Technological Advisory Council. The new lineup included Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Nvidia CEO Jensen Juan, and Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison. They are expected to advise the president on AI policy, innovation, and digital technologies.

David Sachs, who was responsible for artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency policy in the Trump administration, and Michael Krasios, a technology consultant, also serve as PCAST co-chairs in science and technology. This council also includes representatives of major innovative companies, such as Google co-founder Sergey Brin and Dell Technologies founder Michael Dell.

Trump's initial composition, announced on March 25th, was 13, and according to the decree, the number of council members could be increased to 24 by the end. According to Zuckerberg's statement to The Wall Street Journal, the US has the potential to lead the world in the field of artificial intelligence and is proud to contribute to this goal by joining the presidential council.

Trump's scientific and technological advisory council existed in the previous term, but its significance increased with the inclusion of well-known and major industry leaders in the new composition. This step supports the goals of the USA's leadership in global innovative development and digital transformation.
