Raids against migrants in Russia: about 6,000 people will be deported

Russian authorities have decided to deport nearly 6,000 foreign nationals following large-scale raids against illegal migration across the country. According to Ministry of Internal Affairs spokesperson Irina Volk, over 130,000 sites—including markets and industrial zones—were inspected, resulting in thousands of administrative violations and approximately 1,000 criminal cases. Additionally, more than 7,000 foreigners have been banned from re-entering Russia as part of these intensified migration control measures.

As a result of large-scale raids against illegal migration in Russia, it was decided to deport about 6,000 foreign citizens from the country. This was reported by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Irina Volk.

During the inspections, about a thousand criminal cases were initiated, and more than 100 wanted persons were identified. Additionally, more than 7,000 foreigners have been banned from entering Russia.

Raids were conducted across the country, involving law enforcement agencies as well as special services. The main focus is on transport infrastructure, markets, warehouses, and industrial zones.

In total, more than 130,000 facilities were inspected, and thousands of administrative violations were uncovered. According to experts, such measures are aimed at further strengthening migration control in the country.
