Trump Announces Ceasefire Between Israel and Lebanon

Donald Trump announced that a ceasefire agreement has been reached between Israel and Lebanon. According to him, a 10-day temporary truce between the two countries will take effect on the night of April 17.
The US President stated that he held direct negotiations with Joseph Aoun and Benjamin Netanyahu. As a result of these talks, the parties officially agreed to a temporary ceasefire in order to achieve peace.
Trump emphasized that the truce will last for 10 days and is intended to ease tensions in the region. This decision is being viewed as a significant step against the backdrop of long-standing conflicts.
It is worth noting that Israel and Lebanon have been officially in a state of war since 1948. This historical conflict has not yet been fully resolved.
Meanwhile, information was previously reported regarding a ceasefire agreement between the US and Iran. However, it was stated that this process does not fully apply to Lebanon.
The Israeli side has consistently emphasized that it is acting not against the state of Lebanon, but against the Hezbollah group operating within its territory.
While the practical results of the announced truce remain unknown, it is said that this step could lead to a temporary easing of regional politics.
