US imposes sanctions on Iranian aviation

The U.S. Department of the Treasury has announced a further expansion of existing sanctions against Iran.

The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) issued an official statement regarding the matter.

According to the report, the new restrictions have been imposed on eight Iranian citizens, as well as four companies operating in Iran and the United Arab Emirates.

Furthermore, two Boeing 777-200ER aircraft belonging to Mahan Air were also included in the sanctions list.
