During a special tactical operation conducted in the Mexican state of Nayarit on April 27 of this year, Audias Flores Silva, a dangerous drug lord known in the criminal world as "The Gardener" (El Jardinero), was captured. The country's Minister of Public Security and Citizen Protection, Omar Garcia Harfuch, issued an official statement regarding this.

It is reported that this individual was wanted internationally, and significant forces and resources were mobilized for his apprehension. Notably, the U.S. government had announced a $5 million reward for information leading to his capture, which once again shows how dangerous an individual he is.

Audias Flores Silva is known as one of the leading members of the "Jalisco New Generation" — one of Mexico's largest and most influential criminal structures. This cartel plays a significant role in drug trafficking and organized crime in the country.

According to media reports, "The Gardener" was seen as a potential successor to the cartel's founder, Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes (El Mencho). It is worth noting that reports circulated on February 22 of this year stating that the leader of this criminal group had been eliminated during a military operation.

Experts believe that Silva's capture could be a serious blow to the cartel's activities. However, it is also noted that in such structures, leaders are replaced quickly and the likelihood of new forces emerging is high.

In short, this operation carried out by the Mexican government was an important step in the fight against organized crime. But the struggle is not over yet — this is only the next stage of a big game.
