A mother left her child in the car for 12 hours. As a result, the 3-year-old child died.
The incident occurred in the city of Mexicali, Mexico. According to investigators, the child was left in the car after returning home with his mother at night. He was strapped into a car seat and remained in the locked vehicle for over 12 hours.
The next day, at approximately 1:30 PM, a woman noticed the child inside the car and called for help. Paramedics arriving at the scene determined that the child showed no signs of life. Doctors noted burn marks on the child's body. Heatstroke was cited as the primary cause of death. On the day of the incident, the air temperature exceeded 33 degrees Celsius.
Experts emphasize that the temperature inside a locked car can reach life-threatening levels within a short time. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
