General Motors drops another model
Several years ago, Chevrolet Camaro exited the American market, leaving Ford Mustang as the only remaining muscle car. Before that, Dodge Challenger was also discontinued. General Motors (GM) had long been working on plans to revive the Camaro, expecting to introduce it in a new format. However, the company has now decided to cancel this project.

While General Motors has not yet made an official statement, sources close to the company report that the decision to abandon the Camaro revival is based on economic reasons. These have not been disclosed, but GM executives likely anticipate low sales, making it difficult to recover the investment required for development.

Previously, GM aimed to make the new Camaro a more affordable muscle car, hoping to attract younger buyers. This strategy had proven successful with the C8 Corvette, which gained a competitive edge thanks to its lower price.

Now, however, General Motors is focusing on electric vehicles, investing billions of dollars in their development and expanding battery production plants. As a result, the company is prioritizing more promising projects.
