Leapmotor is set to officially begin operations in Uzbekistan, according to Nova24.uz.
On April 13, 2025, the Chinese company Leapmotor sent a letter to Uzbekistan’s Technical Regulation Agency, acknowledging that its C16 vehicles had entered the country via unregistered distributors and expressing readiness to resolve the issue.
The company announced it will now operate solely through official distributors. Vehicles imported unofficially will not be eligible for warranty or after-sales service.
A technical audit will be conducted at the manufacturing plant with the participation of UzTest specialists. Reports on the testing of new models B10EV and B10EREV will be presented, and the Uzbek delegation will receive a guided tour of the laboratories.
Additionally, Leapmotor aims to quickly complete the testing process to receive the OTTS certificate.
The company plans to establish comprehensive cooperation with UzTest to enhance quality control, ensuring vehicle safety and compliance with technical standards.
UzTest welcomed the initiative and expressed its willingness to remain actively involved in all related processes. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
