Chevrolet Tracker crossovers have finally reached Russia in the version assembled in China, Kursiv.uz reported. They were, of course, imported not through official channels but via parallel import. The "Avtonovosti dnya" portal studied the prices, and we compared them with prices in Uzbekistan.
In Russia, in Vladivostok, a Tracker can be purchased for 1.65 million rubles (222 million soms). For this money, a car with leather interior, multimedia with a touchscreen, sunroof, air conditioning, and engine start button is offered. The engine is 1.0 liter, 116 horsepower, with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
However, prices are rising rapidly. In Perm, the same type of car costs 1.89 million rubles (254 million soms), and in Moscow it reaches up to 2.39 million rubles (322 million soms). Here, there is a 1.2-liter turbo engine with 132 horsepower, rear camera, cruise control, keyless entry, rain sensors, and 17-inch wheels.
The situation in Uzbekistan is much more stable
In Tashkent and other cities, GM Uzbekistan official dealers sell at official prices. According to the latest official price list:
-
LS — 221,422,880 soms
-
LTZ — 239,813,280 soms
-
LS PLUS — 220,951,360 soms
-
LTZ PLUS — 244,108,480 soms
-
Premier Plus — 272,656,160 soms
-
Redline — 282,474,080 soms
While the "shadow" Tracker in Moscow is offered for 322 million soms, the most expensive Redline version in Tashkent costs 282 million soms and is sold with warranty and official service.
In conclusion: For Uzbekistan, the Tracker is a simple and convenient crossover. In Russia, it is becoming a luxury product that disappoints.
