In Uzbekistan, it will be possible to use a car number as a personal name

Now it will be possible to issue car license plates in our country in the form of a personal name or a word. This possibility is enshrined in Government Resolution No. 562.

According to the document, from January 1, 2026, the state unitary enterprise "Uzavtomotobelgi" is granted the right to provide "unique" state license plates for motor vehicles, consisting of up to six combinations of letters and (or) numbers, based on the wishes and demands of the population, on an auction basis.

Thus, from now on, "unique" numbers will be put up for sale through open electronic auctions. However, it was stipulated that they should not be duplicated by current figures, contradict legislation, or contradict the moral norms of society.

That is, from now on, you will be able to find personalized digital cars with the names "ELYOR," "ELBEK," "AZIZA," "ODIL," or "BUKHARA" on the streets.

It is expected that this decision will serve to further liberalize digital signage in the country, meet the needs of the population for personalization, and establish public services based on modern mechanisms.
