New airport opens in Mumbai
A new international airport, Navi Mumbai, is being launched in the Indian city of Mumbai. It is expected to reduce congestion at the city’s main airport.

The airport covers 1,100 hectares and has two runways. In the future, it is planned to serve 90 million passengers annually.

Airlines such as Indigo, Akasa Air, and Air India will begin operating flights from this airport. Security checks and services will be carried out using a digital system.

Since the airport is located far from the city, transportation problems may arise. Nevertheless, it will play an important role in India’s air travel.
