New 235 HP Changan Uni-V Unveiled as a Skoda Octavia Alternative

The updated second-generation Changan Uni-V liftback has been officially unveiled in Moscow. Equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo engine, this car is a key competitor to the Skoda Octavia in terms of dimensions (4740 mm length, 2750 mm wheelbase). This was reported by Ixbt.com reports.
The new model shows significant improvements in dynamics: engine power has been increased to 235 hp, and torque to 390 Nm. As a result, the car accelerates to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds. Under the hood, it features a Blue Core engine with a cast-iron block and a classic 8-speed Aisin hydromechanical automatic transmission.
The manufacturer has paid special attention to body rigidity, traction control, and high-speed stability. During the presentation, the results of the "moose test" (78 km/h) were announced, proving the chassis settings have a sporty character.
In terms of dynamic capabilities, the Changan Uni-V is even being compared to expensive sports cars like the BMW M4 G82 and Porsche Taycan Turbo S. It was announced that the price for the new Uni-V 2.0T in the Russian market starts at approximately 3.2 million rubles, including credit programs.
