Peugeot cuts prices by up to £10,000 in the UK

French brand Peugeot has significantly reduced prices across its entire model range in the UK market. The company announced price cuts of up to £10,000 to make its vehicles more accessible to a wider customer base. These changes apply to petrol, hybrid, and fully electric models, according to a report by Autocar.co.uk.
The largest discount was seen on the Peugeot e-3008 electric crossover. Equipped with a 73 kWh battery and a 207 hp engine, the price of this model has been reduced from £46,060 to £36,995. Furthermore, the price drop below £37,000 allows the vehicle to qualify for an additional £1,500 government grant, resulting in a total discount of 23 percent.
The larger seven-seater Peugeot e-5008 model has also become £8,000 cheaper and is now sold from £40,595. The price reductions have moved many models into a preferential category for Vehicle Excise Duty (VED), allowing owners to save an additional £2,200 over six years.
In addition, hybrid versions of the Peugeot 208, 2008, 3008, and 5008 models have been reduced by £2,000 to £3,500. Discounts of up to £5,000 and £6,000 are being offered for the electric Peugeot e-208 hatchback and Peugeot e-2008 crossover, respectively.
Peugeot Managing Director Nicola Dobson stated that this strategic move will strengthen the brand's market position. According to her, the price cuts make vehicles with modern design and innovative technology more affordable for both private and corporate customers.
