New Lada Azimut crossover receives reinforced paint coating

AvtoVAZ has announced the completion of laboratory tests for paint and coating materials intended for the new Lada Azimut crossover. Experts tested metal panels painted using serial technology by creating a multi-year exploitation model under various climatic and road conditions. This was reported by Ixbt.com reports .

During the tests, the coatings were evaluated for resistance to gravel impact, ultraviolet rays, humidity, temperature fluctuations, and accelerated aging processes. The enamel's resistance to scratches, chemical substances, and biological contamination, including insect and bird droppings, was also studied.

Factory representatives noted that the new materials showed high resistance to fading and peeling. Additional body protection is provided by a modernized cataphoresis primer and an elastic clear coat resistant to minor damage and weather conditions.

A palette of both familiar and completely new colors has been prepared for the Lada Azimut. These include options such as beige 'Gobi', green 'Emerald', and sea-wave 'Serenada'. AvtoVAZ stated that the majority of paint materials are supplied by Russian manufacturers and localization is ongoing.

Previously, it was reported that AvtoVAZ had prepared the first batch of Lada Azimut crossovers and sent them to participate in the PMEF-2026 forum. This model is the final version built on a modernized Vesta platform.
