In Russia, official sales of the new SKM M7 light commercial vehicle family from AvtoVAZ have begun. The first production units have already been delivered to dealerships. The lineup includes two versions designed for business and cargo transport: a cargo van and a passenger minivan. This is reported by Ixbt.com reporting that.
Ahead of the sales launch, the manufacturer adjusted the prices for the new models. After a reduction of 5,000 rubles, the SKM M7 cargo van is offered at 2.858 million rubles, while the passenger minivan starts at 2.945 million rubles. Both models are equipped with a modern telematics platform and a voice assistant system.
Technically, the vehicles are built on a rear-wheel-drive platform featuring a leaf-sprung solid axle. The cars are powered by a 137 hp 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, ensuring durability during operation.
According to dealership representatives, approximately 80 percent of the primary demand is expected to come from cargo vans, which are popular among corporate clients. The remaining 20 percent is expected to be accounted for by minivans designed for family and commercial passenger transport.
