197 hp and 1500 km range: Volkswagen Tiguan L ePro unveiled

The SAIC Volkswagen joint venture has officially unveiled the new Passat ePro and Tiguan L ePro models featuring hybrid powertrains. The Passat ePro sedan is offered in three trim levels, priced from 169,900 to 203,900 yuan (approximately $25,000–$30,000). The vehicle features a completely redesigned exterior, modern LED headlights, and an illuminated emblem. This is reported by Ixbt.com .
The Passat ePro interior features three displays: a 15-inch media system, a 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and an 11.6-inch screen for the passenger. The model is also equipped with IQ.Drive systems and, in higher trims, a semi-autonomous driving system with automatic lane change and intersection navigation functions.
The Tiguan L ePro crossover is released in two versions, with prices set between 191,900 and 207,900 yuan ($28,300–$30,700). The crossover also features updated lighting technology and an integrated light bar. Its wheelbase measures 2791 mm.
Technically, both models are identical: they are equipped with a 1.5-liter EA211 gasoline engine producing 129 hp and an electric motor with 197 hp. With a 22 kWh battery, the Passat ePro covers 157 km on electric power alone, while the Tiguan L ePro covers 143 km. The total range with a full tank and charge reaches 1468 and 1423 km, respectively.
