Polestar 5: The new super-sedan born from British engineering

In an era of uniformity, few cars can truly surprise you, but the design-focused Polestar brand is an exception. Seeing the new Polestar 5 for the first time, glistening in the morning sun at a hotel on the outskirts of Morocco, its ultra-low and sharp nose is striking. This design is not only aesthetically perfect but also showcases the brand's signature aggressive and pure style. As reported by Autocar.co.uk .
The Polestar 5 is almost identical to the sensational Precept concept introduced in 2020, with its long wheelbase and aerodynamic silhouette reminiscent of sci-fi vehicles like the Volkswagen XL1. Most interestingly, the car's technical specifications match its appearance: it starts at 737 hp and reaches an incredible 871 hp in its top trim.
In an age of cost-cutting and engineering unification, it is surprising that the Polestar 5 has its own dedicated platform. Crafted from aluminum in the tradition of Lotus, this platform is called Polestar Performance Architecture. Although it is planned to be used only for the 6 roadster in the future, the brand aimed to create its flagship model in this perfect form.
While production takes place at Geely factories in China, the core development was carried out at the Horiba MIRA center in Britain by over 500 engineers with experience at brands like Lotus and McLaren. The Polestar 5 is a symbol of elegance and electric power, embodying the brand's true values.
