The new film by Marvel Studios — "Fantastic Four: First Steps" — managed to earn $24.4 million (approximately 1.9 trillion Uzbek soums) in its first days of release, thereby surpassing the movie "Superman", according to Peopletalk.
With this figure, "Fantastic Four" exceeded the result of "Superman", which had collected $22.5 million (around 1.7 trillion soums) earlier this month. According to expert forecasts, the new blockbuster may earn between $100–110 million (7–8 trillion soums) in the U.S. and Canada alone this week. In international distribution, the film is expected to gross $90–100 million (6–7 trillion soums).
The events of the movie take place in a retro-futuristic setting of 1960s New York. The plot focuses on the origin story of the famous superhero team led by Reed Richards — Mister Fantastic (played by Pedro Pascal). The film was directed by Matt Shakman. Lead roles are also played by Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.
