Irish actor Killian Murphy, known for his roles in “Oppenheimer” and “Peaky Blinders,” appears in the first trailer for Netflix’s new drama “Steve.”
The story takes place in the 1990s at an English school for troubled teenagers. The main character, Steve (Killian Murphy), is the head of a correctional institution who is doing everything possible to save it from closure. At the same time, he struggles with his own internal psychological challenges. The film is based on Max Porter’s novel “Shy.”
The premiere is set for October 3. It has been revealed that alongside Killian Murphy, the cast includes Jay Lycurgo, Tracey Ullman, Simbi Ajikawo, and Emily Watson. “Steve” is directed by Tim Mielants, with Max Porter serving as both screenwriter and executive producer.
