Disney Studios has officially launched a new mystical drama series — “Coven Academy”, created by High School Musical director Tim Federle, reports Peopletalk.
The series will premiere next year and will tell the story of three teenage witches in New Orleans. They will have to protect their city from dangerous and ancient dark forces. The official description of the project says:
“The heroes must uncover dark secrets, master unstable magic and fight against magical rivals, while also dealing with the emotions of youth, passions and deep bonds of friendship.”
Tim Federle also shared his thoughts on the new series:
“I presented ‘Coven Academy’ as a kind of love letter to the teen shows I grew up watching. I am very happy to have brought this original story to the screen together with my friends at Disney, and I can’t wait for the world to meet the amazing actors and crew who are creating our project.”
Guest stars in the series include Brandon Tremblay (Descendants: Wicked World), Swayam Bhatia (Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires), and Keegan Connor Tracy (Once Upon a Time).
