Hollywood star Macaulay Culkin once again played Kevin McCallister in the popular film "Home Alone." This time, she appeared in a promotional video promoting elderly care services as an older Kevin.
The actor's action stirred up the whole internet - because this character made him known worldwide in the 1990s. At that time, young Kevin's humorous cunning and resourcefulness in protecting the house from thieves became a symbol for the entire generation.
The new video was filmed in honor of the comedy's 35th anniversary. Now Kevin is no longer the innocent hero of his childhood - he appears as a loving son who has grown up and cares for his mother. He creates a map called "My Mother's Safety Plan," which clearly identifies every possible danger in the house.
In one scene, as she gathers the bubble film, she says on the phone:
"I'm only worried about my mother being alone. What if he falls or gets covered in snow?"
In the video, the image of the "terrible old man" Marley from childhood also returns indirectly - this time in the form of his grandson. He advises Kevin to have a heart-to-heart talk with his mother and not hide his feelings.
Kalkin's appearance in this commercial is perceived not only as nostalgia, but also as a creative rebirth of the actor at a new stage. Because he had rarely appeared on screen in recent years.
According to reports, the actor will appear in a completely new role - an antagonist - in the second season of the upcoming series "Follaut." With this, he is preparing to return with a completely different face from the heroic image of his childhood.
