Young filmmakers who won in Cannes awarded by the President

In recent years, under the direct initiative of our esteemed President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, fundamental changes have been implemented in our country to elevate national cinema to a new level, comprehensively encourage talented young filmmakers, and create quality products capable of competing in the global market. As a result of such high attention and care shown by our state, representatives of Uzbek cinema are raising the name of our Motherland on prestigious international stages, bringing great pride to our people.

Triumph in Cannes and high recognition from the head of state

As a clear proof of this, it is worth noting that the short film at the international inclusive film festival "ENTRE DEUX CANNES" which defended the honor of our country, “Qadam. Quyosh bolasi Yusuf” won the main prize — the Grand Prix at the prestigious festival recently concluded in Cannes, France. This historic victory once again clearly demonstrated to the whole world that the reputation and potential of our national cinema are steadily rising on the international scale.

In order to properly appreciate this magnificent and unforgettable success and to encourage the selfless work of our compatriots, a historic Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On awarding young creators who won at the international film festival” was adopted.

“Kelajak Bunyodkori” medal presented to its winners

In accordance with this Presidential Decree, a group of promising young filmmakers who demonstrated high skills and spread the fame of our country at the international film event were awarded the state's prestigious “Kelajak Bunyodkori” medal by our state.

This state award is the highest assessment given to the tireless research of young creators, their hard work in the world of art, and their infinite loyalty to their profession. At the same time, this recognition serves as a real motivation and a powerful inspiring factor for thousands of other talented young men and women in our country. After all, such high trust and material-spiritual support shown by the state encourages the young generation to conquer new heights and create with even greater intensity.

Harmony of national spirit and modern worldview

Young directors and cinematographers who are winners of the “Kelajak Bunyodkori” medal are skillfully conveying the rich culture of the Uzbek people, our centuries-old national values, and universal humanitarian ideas to a global audience through their unique works.

Today, the films that young people are creating in harmony with a modern worldview, advanced technological knowledge, and national spirit indicate that a new era of awakening has begun in Uzbek cinema. The modern infrastructure and support system being created for the industry in our country will serve as a solid foundation for us to achieve new victories at major film festivals such as the Oscars, Cannes, and Vienna in the future. Because protecting and valuing young talents is the most important priority of the development of New Uzbekistan.

In your opinion, how much will such high state awards for young creators help Uzbek cinema dominate global screens and trends in the coming years?
