In Samarkand region, the prices for the acceptance and storage of household waste at the landfill have risen again. This is stated in the official decision adopted by the Samarkand Regional Council of People's Deputies, published on June 20, 2025.
According to the decision, organizations and citizens disposing of waste will now have to pay according to the new tariffs. The appendix to the decision states that the waste acceptance tariff is set at 16,433 soums without VAT and 18,405 soums with VAT per square meter.
Also, the price per 1 ton of waste is set at 39,886 soums without VAT and 44,672 soums with VAT.
According to experts, the price adjustments are due to inflation, service costs, and the need to modernize landfill infrastructure.
The new procedure has come into force from the date of publication of the decision, and all waste-disposing entities in Samarkand region are required to comply with these tariffs.
This change is aimed at encouraging the population to sort waste, promote recycling, and improve environmental awareness.
