
The market capitalization of American GPU maker NVIDIA has surpassed $4 trillion for the first time in history, RBC.ru reported.
With this milestone, NVIDIA has become the most valuable publicly traded company in the world. According to TradingView, it now ranks first globally in market valuation.
As of 16:48 Moscow time on July 9, NVIDIA (NVDA) shares rose by 2.76% on the NASDAQ exchange, reaching $164.41, pushing the company’s value to $4.02 trillion.
Reuters noted that the surge in demand for NVIDIA shares is driven by growing interest in artificial intelligence technology. The stock price has jumped 74% since April lows.
