According to Numbeo, a family of four in Uzbekistan needs about 21 million soums to live for a month, excluding rent.
According to calculations, the monthly needs per person are estimated at about 5.6 million soums, excluding rent. This indicator is also significantly higher in Central Asia.
A large part of the family budget - about 30 percent - is spent on food. This means that food products in Uzbekistan have become one of the most expensive types of expenses in the region.
In the CIS countries, the main expenditures also fall on housing and food. Funds allocated for clothing, transport, sports, and recreation remain relatively low - this indicates that the population is mainly limited to meeting basic needs.
Comparison in Central Asia shows the following picture: 37.1% of family expenses are spent on food in Tajikistan, 35.1% in Turkmenistan, 30% in Uzbekistan, 29.6% in Kazakhstan, and 28.5% in Kyrgyzstan.
That is, food and housing remain the main financial burden for many families in the region.
