Tashkent Airport received a plane loaded with 93 tons of live cattle

On December 8, a very rare and responsible cargo operation was carried out at Tashkent International Airport. According to Uzbekistan Airports, at 01:15 local time, a large Boeing 747-400 cargo plane belonging to the Air Atlanta Icelandic airline appeared and successfully landed over the country's capital.

The most important aspect in this regard was that the plane brought 93 tons of live cattle to Tashkent from the Belgian city of Liège. On board are two famous breeds from Germany and Austria - Simmental and Holstein cows.

Simmental cattle are highly regarded for their versatility in dairy and meat production. The Holstein breed occupies a special place among farmers around the world in terms of milk productivity, high milk yields, and genetic effectiveness.

Uzbekistan Airports noted that the process of unloading the animals was carried out in strict compliance with all veterinary standards and safety requirements. Airport specialists demonstrated a high level of competence and responsibility in organizing cargo operations. They promptly and accurately organized the safe unloading of cattle from the aircraft, placing them in special transport, and conducting the necessary veterinary control.

This operation was noted as another important stage of international cooperation not only in airport logistics, but also in the agricultural sector. It is expected that the high-breed cattle imported to Uzbekistan will serve to improve the quality of production in local livestock farming.
