93 tons of pedigree cattle were delivered to Tashkent from Belgium

On December 8, an important cargo operation was carried out at Tashkent International Airport. According to Uzbekistan Airports, at 1:15 local time, an Air Atlanta Icelandic Boeing 747-400 aircraft delivered 93 tons of live cattle from the city of Lej (Belgium).

The cargo includes Simmental and Holstein cows imported from Germany and Austria, known for their high productivity and high-quality milk and meat production. The unloading and acceptance of livestock was carried out in accordance with veterinary regulations.

Mechanisms for stimulating the import of pedigree livestock are also being updated in Uzbekistan. Subsidies will be extended until 2030, and starting from 2026, the procedure applied to the import of 1-day-old chicks will apply only when purchased from domestic producers.

Until the end of 2027, entrepreneurs will be given the opportunity to defer VAT payment and refund for live cattle, sheep, and goats. Also, from 2026, the period for verifying veterinary permits will be halved.

Another benefit for entrepreneurs engaged in animal husbandry is the possibility of obtaining land plots for fodder crops through an electronic auction and paying for them in installments over 5 years.
