The Central Bank has announced the new values of foreign currencies against the Uzbek sum, effective from May 18.
Accordingly:
— the dollar increased by 10.94 sum, reaching 11,986.30 sum;
— the euro decreased by 83.08 sum, falling to 13,937.67 sum;
— the ruble rose by 0.7 sum, becoming 163.61 sum.
Previously, the dollar rate had fallen by 98.06 sum, recorded at 11,975.36 sum. Also, the currency rate in the country had dropped below the 12,000 sum threshold on April 30.
As a reminder, starting August 9, 2026, it will be possible to purchase up to 500 USD in cash foreign currency through banks in Uzbekistan without a passport.
