According to the National Statistics Committee, 580.9 thousand enterprises and organizations were operating in Uzbekistan as of May 1, 2026.
The highest figure was recorded in the trade sector. There are 158,483 enterprises operating in this area, which accounts for nearly one in four of all businesses.
Agriculture, forestry, and fishing rank second. There are 127,775 entities operating in this sector.
In the industrial sector, 61,436 enterprises were recorded, while 32,266 operate in accommodation and food services, and 31,489 in construction.
Additionally, 18,123 organizations operate in transportation and storage, 14,732 in health and social services, and 12,750 in information and communication.
