Secret drug lab exposed in Tashkent

A special task force consisting of employees of the Anti-Smuggling Department of the Customs Committee, the State Security Service, and the Rapid Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has stopped the activities of a criminal group involved in the import and distribution of highly potent drugs into our republic.

During the rapid action, the rented apartment of the previously detained person in the Yunusobod district of Tashkent was inspected in accordance with the established procedure and with the participation of witnesses, and it was revealed that he had organized a clandestine drug laboratory there for the production of highly potent drugs.

In this house, as well as in houses in the Uchtepa district of the capital and the Tashkent district of the Tashkent region, it was found that there were potent substances such as pregabalin, tropicamide, and trilon, precursors used in their manufacture, laboratory equipment such as scales, flasks, and mixers for processing and distribution, and empty plastic containers intended for storing drugs.

As a result of the extensive operational measures carried out, a total of 19 kg 225 g of "pregabalin", 2 kg 960 g of "tropicamide", 1.2 kg of "trilon" potent substances, 20 liters of hydrochloric acid, 1746 pieces of laboratory equipment and supplies of 19 items were seized from the clandestine "drug laboratory" as material evidence.
