New medal established for World War II veterans

The commemorative jubilee medal "80th anniversary of the Victory in World War II" has been established.

The jubilee medal is awarded to citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan - participants of World War II who were awarded the medals "For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" and "For the Victory over Japan", other orders and medals for combat service during the war years, or who have a certificate of a war participant or a certificate of a disabled person in the Patriotic War.

The medal is awarded to those equated with war participants, as well as veterans of front-line labor during the Second World War, including the medals "For Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945", "For Courage in Labor", "For Setting an Example in Labor" or to labor front participants who have a certificate of having held a staff position in the Armed Forces during the war years of 1941-1945 for the free recruitment of civilians.
