Pulat Bobojanov appointed to new position
By presidential decree, Lieutenant General Pulat Bobojonov, who had been serving as Minister of Internal Affairs, was appointed Deputy Advisor to the President of Uzbekistan on Personnel Policy. This was reported by the press secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

He will now replace Gafurjon Mirzayev, Advisor to the President on Personnel Policy.

It was reported that Aziz Toshpulatov, who previously served as Head of the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs, was appointed Minister of Internal Affairs, and in this regard, Pulat Bobojonov was dismissed from his post.

Pulat Bobojonov (born in 1961) has been heading the Ministry of Internal Affairs since September 2017.

He previously served as a prosecutor in the Bukhara and Jizzakh regions, and from 2012 to 2017 he served as the governor of the Khorezm region.
